Finally Finished!

The end to the week, the end of a WIP, the end of a Year!

Finished this scarf WIP that has been on the needles since January of 2020, just in time for the wintery weather that is coming tomorrow...and I already have the hat to match.

Now, that all my knits are done for 2021, I can report the finished numbers along with some ideas of what I want to do for 2022 (it looks a lot like 2021's list, doesn't it)

I, also, wanted to share the progress of my Dust of Snow Wrap out of the Chelsea Luxe Advent Calendar yarns.  Right now, I am on Day 17 of the color ways.

And finally, for 2021, thank you so much dear readers for tuning in, see you all in 2022!
Be safe, be healthy and love to  you all!

Knitting Friends

Knitting friends are the best, I have said it before.  And they played the roll of Santa this year and were fantastic.  (This is a sign a friend gave me years ago)

A couple of weeks ago, our little Tuesday/Friday group of knitters got together, celebrated, and exchange gifts.  I just had to post my fun gifts from them.

Some of them, I have already been using, and others I am dreaming what they will be.

And of course, wrapping up in them is a must!

Lets Finish Up The Scrappy Sunday

For 2021 - the last square is in.

And this marks the last of the width of the blanket for now.

2022 will bring a square a Sunday going lengthwise.  Stay tuned!

Just Some Day After

Today, the day after Christmas, I wanted to post some fun things that went on while we were celebrating the Advent posts.

One day, after some appointments, the Tall Guy and I stopped at Starbucks, to pick me up a coffee.  In the car ahead of us, was a young lady in a red Fiat.  It was kind of funny, how we noticed that she pulled out her phone a second time before she drove away and presented it to the Starbuck's window.  When we pulled up to collect my coffee, the young lady at the window said it had been paid for.  It brings tears to my eyes, even as I type this.  What a positively sweet thing to do!

Pre-treatment start, we had a bit of a routine going, I would come to our main level, as the sun was sliding down to the West, and we would watch Escape to the Country.  One particular afternoon, I caught this shadow, and it just made me smile.

We really didn't decorate for the holidays, except for a couple of quick stuffed Snoopys placed just for fun, but upstairs, year round my Santa Snoopy sits in a little room.  This year, I would light him up as I went upstairs to have a bit of me time.  It was a light shining in a sometimes, down day.

The final Advent Square in my Cozy Memories Blanket.

And the last of the Chelsea Luxe Advents

I hope you dear reader had a wonderful Christmas, thank you for stopping by.

Advents 20 -22

I cannot believe how Advent is winding down so quickly!  Here are the latest updates.

I'm using some of my collection of finger weight scraps for my Cozy Memories Blanket right now.

The Chelsea Luxe Advents are taking a color direction that I am loving as well.

Unfortunately, I have not knit at all on my stocking from Legacy Fiber Artz, but have been knitting on my blanket and the Dust of Snow Wrap, which I am loving.

Hope you all are having a wonderful Advent!

Advents 16 - 19 and Scrappy Sunday All Rolled Into One

My mitered square blanket.  I had to add some of my yarns into the mix as some of the ones I received were a bit too heavy for my finger weight blanket.

The Chelsea Luxe Advents

These next ones are definitely moving towards my wheelhouse, wouldn't you say?

I'm still way behind on my Legacy Fiber Artz stocking Advent, so nothing to show here. And as for my Dust of Snow Wrap, I found a major error in my knitting a ways back, so for now, I'm ripping it back and getting it right this Sunday!

Hope you are having a sunny Sunday, we are here at Chez PJKnits!

We Interrupt This Advent

 For Finally Finished Friday!

All the grands are getting hats out of stash yarn this year!

I used the same pattern for all four hats, Simple As Hat! By Milja Uimonen

A hat pattern I used many years ago.

I love that it comes in sizes from baby to Adult.

And you can put a pom on it or not.

My Christmas presents are done.  How about you?

Advent Catch Up

I have hit a bit of a stall on my stocking Advent a couple of days ago.  The chart that I am currently working on is a little bit more involved and I'm not feeling the fun right now with it, so here is the last bits.

The Cozy Memory Blanket needed a bit of light so I added a bit from my stash to brighten up the dark colors that were coming up.

The Chelsea Luxe Advent has taken a mauvey turn.

Hope you are having a great week!  I got to spend yesterday with some dear friends, and it felt so good!
