Look at all these cool books/magazines my LYS had this week.
They just had to follow me home! I have to support my local shop in someway, if I am not buying yarn, right?!

Whats On The Needles
I'm working away on the Hospice Blanket still. Thank goodness, I am onto the decreases now.
Because I really want to cast on the Suburban Wrap out of these lovelies!
I'm hopeless in the cast on department! I want to cast on all the things!

Friday Finds
It's another great book from the Lost City Knits twosome, Denise and Chris!
Not only are the designs are to die for, but the pictures and the stories make for some great reading!
The problem is what to knit out of it first?!

On The Needles This Week
There are so many things that I want to be knitting right now, but isn't that the case with every one?!
But, there are two that I am concentrating on right now, despite my penchant for flitting from project to project!
I'm on the first of the sleeves of my Pavement Sweater. This sweater can also be known as a wing and a prayer sweater.
I am not 100% sure the hemline is one that I am going to like. But, still, I am knitting on and hoping the tunic style blocks out to a good length.
I've also done some mods on it through the body accommodating for the hips and the sleeve width. The best part of knitting this sweater is the yarn. I love Sea Pearl from Briar Rose Fibers which my stash is more than indicative of.
My other main project is a Hospice Blanket. I'm having fun knitting on this blanket, but man oh man, it is taking a bit of time just to get it to the halfway point. I was hoping to have it done for next Thursday's hospice meeting, but I don't think that is happening this week, despite working on it a lot.
Each of these lovelies remind me so much of Spring which is coming this week! YEA!!

3-14-18 You Know What Today Is!
It's
But, for us non Math days people, it is a day to pay homage to the Mother of π, Elizabeth Zimmerman and one of the most fantastic designs ever. The Pi Shawl. I love that shawl design and all the many take-offs from her original design.
And of course, it will be no surprise that I have a couple few of them on the needles! Here are a couple of links for those of you who want to know my faves this year!
Happy π Day! However, you choose to celebrate, maybe with some knitting and maybe with some

It's back to work for me tomorrow. (Sad face). But, what a great week of fun, sun, food, laughter (lots of laughter) and just great times with best friends. Every one should have such a circle of knitting friends as I have. I am so blessed to have them a part of my life.
Yes, I will look back at this past week and remember!

The Palms - Ahhh
There is just something about Palm Trees that I love. I guess it may be because it just screams tropical, sun and sand! While on vaca, I just had to do the whole tourist thing and shoot pics of Palms. I'm going to make one of them my background on my computer at work on Monday, when I go back to remind me of a wonderful time with friends I had!

Friday Finds
Why yes we shopped while on vacation, and I added to the stash with some things that I cannot wait to cast onto.
We made two trips to this shop, and I have a nice little bag of goodies that I am itching to cast on.
A couple of baby things and Cozette yarn in the front that is going to be a poncho for this Spring/Summer.
I don't needlepoint any more, but this shop was unbelievable! So many beautiful canvases.
The Madelinetosh yarns on the top and bottom are going to be part of the 40 Months/40 Cowls project. The center one is the find of the trip!!! Sea Silk for a wrap that I plan on knitting for Baby Boy B's wedding next year!
I've been eyeballing this Birds of a Feather pattern for sometime, and the Haus of Yarn had something they picked out that reminded me of it. Had to buy it!
I've got some knitting to do now and am so excited to cast on.
We had a bit of time to kill on the first day so we went outlet shopping. I found a nice little bag that is going to double as a knitting bag and purse when I am traveling. We kicked out a few before I settled on this Kate Spade beauty.
It just goes to show that a small shop can be jammed packed with good yarns in a small space.

I still managed to buy something. This light is going to be so cool for traveling especially in those hotel rooms that have bad lighting!
On our way home, we mapped out a few yarn shops to break the trip back up. I have been wanting to go to A Good Yarn forever and but of course, I found some things.
When I bought the top yarn, I envisioned a tank, but when I held this up to both a dress that I have and a top for Summer, this would make a great little sweater or a wrap to go over both. The bottom yarn is going to be a shawl as yet to be decided. AND, I got a wrist ruler in my size.
The second day we went to Eat.Sleep.Knit outside of Dallas, Georgia. This shop has everything! For me, it was the find of the trip home. I order online from them, but the shop should not be missed! I cannot say enough good thins about it!

Last shop was Haus of Yarn in Nashville. Great yarns and samples knit up that make you want to knit them.
I've got some knitting to do now and am so excited to cast on.

Home But Pretending I'm Not
It's chilly here in Central Illinois, but I'm acting like I am still in Florida the next few days until I have to go back to work next Monday. In the meantime, you dear readers can see how much fun we had!
