Not Just A Scrappy Sunday

But a scrappy kind of week here at Chez PJKnits.

There were  times this week, where just some cozy socks were needed on the feet, even if they were one of the very first pair of finger weight socks I can remember knitting.

And maybe a bit of knitting on one of those WIPS I've been saving.

And then lets, just round the week out with

Happy Halloween!

Mail Call Monday

I got the coolest mail last week from by friend Becky!  It just made me smile and came at a really good time.

Becky is a knitter I met through a ZK retreat several years back.  She and the ladies we meet there have become such good friends, all through knitting.

I am so lucky to have found not only them, but so many friends all through our love of knitting.

It's a nice thing, now isn't it?!  I am so very blessed.

It May Be Scrappy Sunday

But, I couldn't pass up the chance to show some Summer that is still in our yard.

I love the change of seasons, but I really wouldn't mind if Summer stayed around a little longer, especially in the flowers.

WIP Wednesday

I let random number generator choose what WIP from yesterday's podcast to start with.  It chose Helsinki Sweater by Janine Bajus.

It's been my project du jour today.  I put a safety pin in it to mark where I started so I keep track of how much progress I am making on it.

I am pretty happy with myself that when I put the project away in the bag, I also put a row counter in it.  That way I had a pretty good idea of where I was in the increasing of the sleeve.

It's been another rainy day in Central IL, so I was super glad that I had my Stella Two light to use to see my knitting.

It's slow going on the small needle and yarn, but a few more inches and I'll have a second sleeve done.

I kind of like this knitting on the sleeves first.

Scrappy Scrappy Scrappy

Scrappy Sunday in 2021.  Every Sunday, I knit at least one square on my Mitered Square Blanket.  I am pretty pleased with myself that I have been keeping up.

This week, after finishing a sweater, and not really knowing what I want to work on next, I pulled out the Jelly Roll Blanket and knit a bit on it.

As long as it's Scrappy Sunday, I decided to just make  a day of knitting on my scrappy blankets, rounding it out with the Habitation Throw.

And now, off to figure out whats next in the knitting queue, stay tuned.

Slowly Going Into Monday

It was a bit of a gloomy, rainy, gloomy Monday here at Chez PJKnits, and there wasn't much we had to do, so this Knitter, took some time to do some knitting and watching the Knotty Knit Wits on You Tube.

I finished my Gulf Stream Pullover and it is blocking as we speak, so I pulled out a WIP, my Love Note, from last year.  It struck me funny, that it was a Turquoise on Turquoise on Turquoise Day. (my Half and Half Wrap, my Love Note, and my jammies)

And to finish off the day, I pulled out my mug that a co-worker gave me years ago at Halloween time, she was my coffee drinking partner.

Let's have some fun while we knit and drink some coffee!

Sunday Sunday Sunday

It's Scrappy Sunday, and of course, that means another square on my blanket.  And it is October which means the Halloween Snoopys are coming out.

I finished a sweater, but I need to block it this week, so perhaps that will be all done for later this week.

In the mean time, the grandkids were here yesterday, and somehow, two out of the four talked me into crocheting blankets for their stuffies.  And by the way Grandma, it's okay if you send them to us later.

Do you think they would notice if I knit the blankies instead?  🤫

Friday Finds

I think this may be my next sweater that I cast on after I finish one more sleeve.

I was going to save it for next Spring, but I feel like in the coming weeks, I am going to need to Knit a Rainbow.  Sometimes in life, things pop up just when you need them and this may be it.  This knit should be a nice soothing knit too.

Have a great weekend and hopefully, Fall temps here will be back.
