In between, taking advantage of our gorgeous weather from the porch, there has been knitting.
These socks for one. Now, I don't knit socks now like I used to, but when this subscription box from Artistic Yarn by Abi came in the mail in September, I just had to cast them on and stay with the knitting of them.
After a few rounds, I knew what the socks were going to look like, and at that time, normally, I would have set them aside and came back to them when I felt like it. But, I didn't, because I wanted to wear them this Fall!
I totally forgot to post this one weeks ago, so here it is, Musselburgh #17 (#6 for the year). Unknown yarn, this has been my front seat project since February. I am quite behind on my Musselburgh production this year, I need to get a move on it if I want to have 12 for the year!
I cast this sweater on back in July of 2025.
I won't lie, I have a little pre-Rhinebeck FOMO, hearing about everyone who is going, their travel plans and what they will be wearing even before they leave. But, I, also know, that as much as I would love to go, logistically and with all the other stuff that goes into going halfway across the U.S. that isn't going to happen anytime soon.
So, I am knitting on more sweaters to satisfy my FOMO, you can watch it all by clicking here
I belong to a yarn subscription box that comes every other month. Artistic Yarn by Abi. This month's box was like, cast me on right now, and wait for it, cast on some socks with it. And I have.
The theme, Reese's Pieces.
Half the fun of opening the boxes is to see what the extras are in the box.
Of course, the chocolate was gone in the first day, but the rest of the box, the yarn, the contrast color and the stitch marker, right on!
And I just cannot put this sock down, it is all I've been knitting on since last Wednesday!
