Inspiration Comes From Others Sometimes

Last Saturday at Knit 4 Together, a nice couple of knitters came into the shop. They were from the Chicago area and a group of their friends pick a new location every Fall and they go on a little road trip. They picked Peoria. Go figure.

Anyway, the young man had a really cool hat on that he had knitted. It peaked my interest. The designer is Stephen West. Definitely check out his designs over at

I bought the hat pattern (couldn't resist) and Stash and Burn talked about his shawl pattern on the latest podcast.

Oh and he goes to school in Urbana and hangs out at Klose Knits there. I've never been to that shop, but I met the owner two Summers ago at Meg's Knit Camp.
