Besides being knitting gadgets. The straw idea came from a bus trip that the Radicals took up North one year. When using two yarns held together, you run them both through the straw and they don't get tangled. It had us stealing straws from all over the place to get a big one.
The red needle holder is Karen's epiphany. We both think it looks like a favorite candy, a licorice nib. But, Karen realized you could feed a yarn through each hole and use it just like the straw. She remembered that the yarn shop in Dunlap has a bowl of them on their counter. She was going up there yesterday to see about getting some of them in the bigger sizes.
I wondered if you could drill the hole in the red nib a little larger somehow?
