Sunday Sunday Sunday!

Day 11 started with a nice cuppa in a very old cup, at least 35 years old!

My Mom collected a couple of the mugs and quite a few of these goblets for me from Arby's back in the day.  Like China we received when we were married, I am bringing them out to use them, why not?!

Today's cuppa was    and the Chelsea Yarns mini is Bonfires.

And the goldy yellow mini is now the Sunday block in my scrappy blanket!

I am happy for the sunshiney color way today for sure, since it is another cloudy, sunless today, so we must make our own sunshine, right!

It's still foggy and dreary here at Chez PJKnits, heres hoping you have some sunshine!  If you do, send it our way!

Happy Friday, Day 9

Do you realize how quickly Christmas is coming?

I had a lovely brunch with my Tuesday Knitting Ladies.  What fun and great food, and of course, knitting.

Today's Chelsea Yarn color way mini is Winter Nights.  It looks like Winter outside here at Chez PJKnits, but it is just cloudy and rainy, thankfully, it is not snow.

Today's square is done.

And there is a podcast up, where I talk about advents this years, and pasts.  You can find it here

Have a great weekend!

Day 8

It's a cloudy, dreary day outside today, so thankfully, today's Scrappy Advent Square is a riot of cheery colors!  And I started a new row on my blanket!

The day started off super early this morning, don't know why, it just did.  So, I hopped up and made my coffee, Cinnamon Hazelnut, from my coffee advent and opened my other yarny advents.
Today's Chelsea Yarns is Ear Muffs.

We don't need ear muffs here right now, or anything else pictured in today's Snoopy offering pic

But, tomorrow, we may need our umbrella!  See you tomorrow!

Day 7

Let's start with good news.  The bathroom is done.

Today's Advents include Chelsea Yarn's Bunny Hill and today's coffee is Bourbon Vanilla Cream, but I am saving it for tomorrow afternoon as a treat for getting things back where they need to be after the renovation.

I couldn't sleep this morning, I was so anxious for the remodel to be done, that I got up and opened my advents and knit my square for today, before the fog lifted.

Tomorrow, I will start a new row, as today's square finished one.  That's always a bit fun.

Keep looking up!

Day 6

Warm Sugar Cookies, doesn't that sound good, with a cuppa?

Today's Scrappy Advent Square is Cherry Blossom, although, as I was knitting it, I thought that it really needs to go into the Christmas minis bag.

I still have a tree I want to decorate for my spare room, a knitting themed tree.

Do you have your tree(s) decorated?

Days 4 and 5

Had a quick trip, and I do mean quick trip to celebrate a four year olds birthday yesterday.

So you all get two days in one again for advents!

Day 4's coffee, minis from both advents were so appropriate.  Coconut Caramel coffee, Chintz Pies and Gingerbread House.

Today's not as much,  Mistletoe Mocha,  Sunset (the peachy one), and Black Diamond.

But, the sunset from my friend, Peggy, goes perfectly with the dark ones that surround it.

Advents 2 and 3

The last couple of days I have been cleaning, going through all the Christmas tubs, decorating and putting a couple of trees.  Last year, we didn't put up any kind of holiday decor, we were just happy to make it through the season.

This year, I was on the fence, whether I wanted to or not.  But, I do love sitting with a tree lit,  Christmas decor just makes me happy, so I did.  Even though, as soon as the holiday is over I am ready to take it all down really fast! LOL.

What suffered was my blogging about the advents, and I messed up and opened day 3 on day 2, so there you have it, and here is both days all wrapped up into one.

Chelsea Yarns color way for Day 2 was Hot Toddy, and the coffee flavor was Heavenly Caramel and it was!

I couldn't decide if I was going to put the Snoopy tree up here, but found this is the attic, and decided that it was a perfect fit for the Snoopy Room/Recording Studio.

Today's Chelsea Yarns color way was Fireside, and my coffee was Turtles in a Cup!
There were not any turtles there, thankfully, but I drank all of the pot like a rabbit.

And here is day 2 and day 3 of the Scrappy Blanket, the actual knitting was just reversed.

Hope you all are having a marvelous weekend!  Happy Knitting!

Advent Calendars 2022 and Day 1

When I was a kid, we didn't have a thing called an Advent Calendar. It was just lately as a knitter that I knew there was such a thing that could hold fun things or candy.  Now, there are  Advents for everyone, Knitters, Coffee Drinkers, Wine, Beer, etc.

I super excited about three that I have, one was a birthday gift, one was from Chelsea Yarns that I purchased, and the third a collection from a group of four knitters that a friend asked me to be a part of.

I took the three sets from the knitters and added them to my Paris box, along with the Chelsea Yarns Advent

so each day I can open them together.  The presents I will put under my tree when I get it up, and so Christmas morning, I will have some fun things to open up.

The Advents from the four of us are going into my Scrappy Blanket, and it is my intention that I will knit one square each day as I have in the past.  The advent from Chelsea Yarns is yet to be decided, I am leaning toward a pullover, just need to maybe get some mohair to throw in with it.  The theme for it is Apres Ski 2022.

Here is Day 1, with all of my lovely openings ~~

Chelsea Yarns - Apres Ski, Coffee for later with a little Bourbon Cream in it, and Day 1 from my friend Peggy, whose mini is from yarn she bought in Florence, Italy, a Lana Gross a yarn.

Day 1 Block, using Peggy's yarn, and a progress keeper to mark the first day of squares for Advent.

And for today and all December long,  let's choose Joy!
