Early Mornings at Chez PJKnits

First up, early mornings here mean checking in on the animals in Africa.  This morning lots of zebras at the watering hole.  One never knows if the Elephants will shoo them away, but at least for this morning, there was a herd that could hang out.

Then head out to the front porch to check the weather and see if there is too much humidity.  This morning, was a two thumbs up. So pleasant (enough that I went back in and shut the AC off and opened up the windows)

Back out just in time, to watch this magnificent sunrise come up.

And then a very nice, easy going morning, with my knitting, my porch book and a cuppa.

I can only hope this is a trend for the next few days, I am totally into my porch!  Enjoy your day!

Spending Time Just Enjoying

Getting plane projects ready for Norway at the end of next month.  All are Musselburghs, and yes, probably over planning, but, I have decided NOT to take a big sweater to knit on.

Working steadily on a Vest for Norway to wear.  I've been eyeballing their current temps this week, and both Oslo and Bergen have been upper 60's lower 70's so, I am thinking by the first of October, I am pretty sure this will come in handy!

And today, we were surprised with ladies who owned Knit Four Together 10 years ago.  It was so much fun reconnecting with them and introducing them to our new friends at knitting at The Fiber Universe.

I've got an easy week this week, and I am just going to enjoy it, hope you are too!

It's Fiber Friday

And I had really good intentions to finish the first sleeve of my Sea Change, and I have finished the increases, but I have another project that I really want to be knitting on.  Have you ever had that happen?  I was great out of the gate this morning while sitting on the porch, enjoying a nice little breeze and a couple of crickets serenading me.

I'm going to work a little more on it tonight, but I really seeing me knitting on the Ridge Forrester before the day is over!

While we are back on the porch, I have pulled out this Porch Living book again, this Summer.  Well, actually looking at the pictures of all the different porches.

And to start the weekend off, I want to share  a few of the sentiments from the Introduction of the book.

The porch is a welcome mat, a social scene.  Sit back, relax on the porch.  Greet the sunrise or the sunset.  A scene worth embracing and enjoying.

Embrace and enjoy your weekend!!!

Busy Times

Whew…. It’s been a bit. Family in town, appointments and knitting.  And really, that’s what you are all here for, at least, I think.  And I’ve got knitting to talk about coming up starting tomorrow, and thankfully, a week and a half going forward, of no major commitments, just knitting.

I don’t know about the rest of the world, but that’s what I need right now, just knitting.

I’m wondering about you dear reader?  Are you gearing up for Fall and Winter knitting?  Or are you finishing up that one last sweater for Summer.  Me, I’ve put my Sylvan away til the first of the year and other thoughts of Summer, and solely concentrating on knitting for Norway at the end of September.

For now, hope you are knitting on something fun, see you soon!

Before The Heat Sets In

It's been crazy again here at Chez PJKnits.  One more event this weekend, and then a couple of weeks of a slow down, before a Labor Day weekend.

The weather has been decent, but, heating up again, so I took advantage of sitting out on the porch today, enjoying everything about the quiet!  Working on Musselburgh #10.

There seems to be a bit of a theme going on here today.

And it just makes me smile...

Until a bloody mosquito came by, time to retreat.  I hope you are having some fun this week!!
