Welcome June!

It's the first of June.  It's a Monday.  It's the start of the week and the start of a month and I'm callin it the start of Summer!

I've goals and plans for the next month.

Cutting out as much sugar as I can.  This will not  mean that I will pass up treats that a certain dear knitter friend I know makes.  I will not deprive myself of that pleasure.
I am going to be eating more fruits and vegetables and less processed foods.  --I really want to live healthier and a very long time like my auntie who is like 94 this year!  I want to see my grandkids get married and I want to dance at their weddings.

I am going to use my fitbit and really try to walk 10,000 steps each day.  I am going to log my meals through the free app, My Fitness Pal and keep it to 1200 calories a day.  I am not paying for weight loss products when there are some perfectly good apps out there for free. -- I am counting on my peeps at work to help me achieve my 10,000 steps a day.

I am starting small.  I want to be down 7 pounds come camp.  By September, I want to have significant weight loss.  Target date is Labor Day. I'm going to start making some healthy lunches.

I've got a lot of knitting on my plate.  Between now and Knit Camp (the second weekend in July), I am concentrating on what I am taking to camp for Show and Tell, what I am going to wear while at camp AND maybe the camp contest, which at this moment I do not have ANY idea.  I need to get on that one!

I AM GOING to find the perfect bag for Summer and Summer sandals.  I am a bag and shoe addict.  I am always searching for the perfect bag.  One that looks stylish, will hold my pursey things but will also hold my knitting so I don't have to lug 2 big bags around with me.  And I want it to sit up fairly well, so I can just knit from it. And sandals, I ordered many pairs this year and sent them back.  They gotta look good and feel good.  Do you know how hard that is?  The search continues.

Every waking moment that is free, I'm going to be knitting this Summer.  There are so many things I want to do and Summer does not mean and end to my sweater knitting!  What are your goals this Summer?  Share them with us, won't you in the comments!

You have way more goals than I do but, you inspire me. I have the Blumchen cardio that I started and frogged. I want that done as well as the 2 tops I got yarn for at the KnitAway. My new poncho from Churchmouse is also on the list to take to Israel in November! I want to get back into working out and read a couple of good books. Thanks for the inspiration!!!!

Have you checked out Vionic and Birki's for sandals? Travelon for secure and some have lots of room and pockets and wash with a cloth, soap, water for purse? Sandals aren't inexpensive. The travelon gear is very reasonable, even can check them on QVC.
