My First Dye Job

Debbie and I went to Niles today and spent the day learning how to dye yarn. This is my first attempt. I have been back and forth as to whether I really was happy with it. It's growing more on me. I can't wait to wind it and then do a little knitting with it. Hopefully tomorrow.

This one was done in the microwave. We learned how to dye using immersion. It's out in the garage drying right now. I'll blog about it tomorrow.

It was a hot day, but Judy Chan, our gracious hostess made it a great day and taught us so much. I think both Debbie and I have been bit by the bug. I see a class coming this Fall.

Now to find some more yarn for future dyeing!
